Roku Jutsu
Roku Jutsu was created in 1993 by Chris Harris with the sole purpose of being used to train law enforcement, the elite, government agencies, and private security firms. However, on a case-by-case basis, Roku Jutsu was also taught to civilians through private training courses. Certified Instructor Dean Belvis is one of less than 30 individuals achieving the rank of Black Belt in Roku Jutsu. Instruction is optimally limited to 3-5 individuals in a session and specifically designed for adults (18 or order) who want to learn how to protect themselves in the shortest amount of time possible.
Roku Jutsu is a pure hand-to-hand combat system, we provide a no-nonsense, efficient approach to learning how to defend oneself without the need for muscle memory, eliminating brain delay common with most other systems.

What We TeachPractical Combatives teaches Roku Jutsu, as developed by Chris Harris. Our focus is to provide instinctive, natural and effective self-defense training. We do not teach sport self-defense nor body conditioning, valuable as those may be.

What We BelieveThe skills taught in Roku Jutsu are instinctive, natural, effective, and efficient. Each technique is taught to work in synergy and harmony with our 20 creeds, encapsulated within 12 virtues, instilling the attitude that while we are capable of defending ourselves and others, a self-defense response is always the last option, one that is never conducted beyond the threat.

About the Founder
In Japanese the word Roku means "six" and the word Jutsu means "method". Roku Jutsu was created by Chris Harris in 1993 after taking the most practical and effective techniques from six different systems of martial arts and combining them.
Akido Muay Thai Kung Fu Boxing Shorin Ryu Tae Kwon Do
The goal was to develop a hybrid system of combatives designed for training law enforcement, military, and the elite. To be adopted, each technique had to be practical in its use, simple to perform, and highly effective. The system contains six belts of rank with each belt containing ten techniques (60 total).
Chris Harris began training in Martial Arts in 1977 and has been teaching professionally since 1993. Over the past 25 years, as an independent contractor, he has trained corporations, law enforcement, federal agencies, the military, and the elite for the U.S. and its allies.
He has authored several books, including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Self-Defense and I Go Thru and has produced several instructional videos. He is the inventor of several U.S. patented products related to personal safety and a U.S. military veteran.
